ConjuVerb - Spanish Verbs! App Reviews

I originally wrote a review and gave it three stars. You can see it below. The more I use it, however, the more I see flaws. For example, look up, "tomar". That means "to take" or "drink", but it only mentions drink. Next, look up the imperfect subjunctive of that word. That generally refers to events that happened in the past, but this app refers to it in the present tense. And since my last writing, the database doesnt appear to have been updated, again not even containing 2,000 words. Thats great for the first month of learning a language. But even for trading purposes, one needs to know at least 3,000 of the most common words. Why on earth this app doesnt have more words and doesnt at least provide a way for users to do so is beyond me. ====================== This app is great. Its the first one Ive seen that actually tells me what the future indicative actually means by putting a little "I will fall" for root verb "caer". Its great. So whats the issue? It only has a few words in its database (I believe about 1,600). Needless to say, this is not nearly enough and when you put a root word in (I tried "rodar") and nothing gets returned, youre forced to look it up someplace else, like before I had the app. Also, if there are no results its should say, "no results". Hopefully the developer will allow users to add words to make this app better.

Great concept but unable to figure out anything. Im not even sure what it does. I assumed it is supposed to help with conjugating verbs in Spanish but I have NO idea how to do one thing on this app. Too bad! I really could use help conjugating those verbs. Perhaps this is a good app for those who are more tech savvy.

App crashes when i click on the conjugation.

The most immediate improvement that should be made is auto-pronunciation. Spanish may be a mostly phonetic language, but it is easier to learn when you arent struggling to pronounce long words that you are not yet used to. If they added pronunciation that can be turned on and off and repeated at will with a little play button on each and every card, this app would get at least 4 stars from me.

I seem to have an issue with it somehow being locked on imperatives only. Every time I select another tense - presente, preterite and imperfect the app shuts down. Any ideas?

I am a spanish 200 student and often our teacher gives us conjugation homework. This app is great for this though not all the verbs are covered. Overall, I recommend this for spanish students as it has all the types of conjugations.

I was enjoying this a lot, when all of a sudden it just says "use infinitives only" and I cant make it do any conjugations (what is an app named conjuverb without conjugations?). I cant tell if they just decided to charge for conjugations after the fact or its a setting problem. Ive read the faq. Ive searched the web. Ive bounced every single option: the thing just crashes or not, but stays on infinitives. Im a computer professional and not afraid of poking AND I JUST CANT MAKE IT WORK. There is no option to send a question to the developer; there is no documentation; there is no useful hinting. I wish I had not bought it (though I did like it at first).

Very helpful app! Im in the midst of studying verb conjugations and this is a big help!

I loved this app, until for some reason the settings band now covers the "next verb" button at the bott and the swipe function stopped working. Any one else have similar issues?

The error that I have found so far is when searching for the verb HACER and click it. Im directed to the conjugated list of Abalanzar. Not the verb list I was looking for. Please fix. Thank you otherwise it works very well.

A comprehensive app and good learning tool. I am giving it three stars because the button to hide the vosotros tense does not work and there is no voice function. I do find it to be very useful and would recommend it. Ill change my rating after these two issues are resolved.

It has a lot of verbs that other apps like this one dont. So I recommend this app to anyone studying Spanish. Best of all.

Easy to use but needs a list of the tenses and examples of use.

This is a very promising app with a few glitches that could easily be fixed if there was any response to customer feedback -- which there isnt. I wrote feedback three times, including my email address, and never received a response. Like a recent reviewer, I am having problems with using infinitives in flashcards -- though unlike him I cant get this to happen except for the one time I did it by accident. No problem with conjugations in flashcards, but it would be useful to know how to quiz oneself on the meaning of verb infinitives through flashcards. I was going to pay to upgrade but until this glitch is fixed and customer feedback is responded to I recommend that no one pay for this app.

Could be better but good and does what advertised.

I have studied Spanish for three years and this verb conjugator has assisted me greatly. I love this app. Unfortunately I updated to Apple IOS8 and it doesnt work. Hope fix is on the way.

The verbs are not showing when I going to the search mode. I have restarted my iPhone and also downloaded the program again, but the verbs do not show when I go into searching for new verbs.

Like many other users, since the recent update it stopped working. I loved this app. You could type in a verb in any tense and it will come up. You don’t have to know the infinitive form to find it. When you opened that verb and reviewed all the different tenses, it showed you the verb in infinitive form at the top. After the update, that disappeared. Then it started taking FOREVER to load the search results. Now it doesn’t work at all. Nothing happens when you search. Unless you go to your favorites or recently view verbs, this app does nothing. Hopefully this fix it soon :/ I also tried restarting my phone, I deleted and re-downloaded the app. I even tried deleting it off my laptop, all devices and then downloading it again and still nothing worked. It does not like iOS8 at all!! Please fix it!!

Just bought today and it doesnt work.
